Shield Shipping Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Clerk to join their busy & friendly team in Ipswich. If you have previous container transport experience, gained with a line, forwarder or a haulier and are looking to make your next career move, this could be the perfect role for you?

The Role:

As a Transport Clerk you will be responsible for arranging and managing deliveries around the UK, using various transport companies. You will be liaising daily with shipping lines ensuring the cargo is released and to make payment. You will need to be confident using Word & Excel, plus you will be using various port systems, such as CNS & Destin8 daily. Excellent customer service skills are also a must for this role.

Essential Criteria:

- Experience in a similar role within the logistics industry

- Effective communication skills both written and verbal

- Excellent time management skills

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Sound knowledge of CNS and Destin8 systems

- Ability to prioritise workload
